She wrote alongside the image: 'I sent my dad this pic and he said 'luca told me to tell u, u made his oatmeal lumpy' lol he is cute when he's mad!'

The former Lizzie McGuire actress has been sticking to SoulCycle's indoor cycling classes since giving birth to son Luca in March.

However, Hilary told Us Weekly earlier this year that she was adopting a new approach to losing her baby weight compared to some of her fellow celebrity mothers who snap back into shape just days after giving birth.

She said: 'I just started about a week ago at SoulCycle and I'm addicted to it. 

'It's a great workout and it's perfect because it's only forty-five minutes -- where else can you sweat like that in forty-five minutes?'

'I'm working out because I honestly missed it during my pregnancy - getting in that good, hard workout. 

'I need endorphins in my life to be a happy person.

'I want my body back but I'm not freaked out or anything - just working out and trying to eat a little bit healthier.'

Baby Luca is Hilary's first child with husband Mike Comrie. And earlier this month, Hilary shared a picture of her growing little boy as she celebrated Mother's Day.

'Me and my beautiful boy,' she wrote alongside the snap which she posted on Twitter.

'So much to be thankful for.'

In an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, Hilary said she can notice little Luca growing and learning every day.

She said: 'Every single day, it seems like there's a new face that they're making. He started to smile about a week ago and that's the coolest experience. It's all good. 

'What is to come is such an amazing journey and a lot of work. It's just like the best thing that's every happened to you.'

Cuddling her pride and joy in her arms the 24-year-old Lizzie McGuire star beams in the black and white snap.

Both her and Mike dressed casually for the photograph, with the blonde actress and singer looking pretty in a knitted sweater.

Aside from using the new snap for her avatar, Hilary also told her followers that she has a new exciting project.

'Big News!' she tweeted. 'I’m working w/ Johnson’s Baby on its new charitable program, Johnson’s Baby Cares, http://on.fb.me/JohnsonsCares – I love being a mom :)

She kept herself warm with an oversized knitted cardigan slipped over her workout top.

Hilary had just finished a spin class at her local gym.

And it appears that she had certainly workout hard, tweeting her instructor after: @AlisiaLeibel holy sore body!!! @soulcycle kicked my booty!!!! Ouchieee.'

Hilary has also been attending Piloxing classes to help shift her baby weight.

The new workout, which is currently taking the celebrity world by storm, is described as a program that 'uniquely mixes Pilates and boxing into a fat torching and muscle sculpting workout guaranteed to whip you into shape.'

Jessica Alba surprised Hilary by mailing her a range of products from The Honest Company range.

The grateful actress took to her twitter page to thank the star for her generosity, writing: "Thanks @honest @jessicaalba for the box of goodies for Luca!

'The whole line looks amazing! Excited to try everything.'

The Honest Company was launched by Jessica and her husband Cash Warren with their business partner Chris Gavigan in January 2012.

Today Hilary also kept her followers updated with her baby Luca's latest actions.

Hilary Duff Posts First Pictures of Baby Luca

The first two official images of the two-week-old tot has been released after the actress posted it to her website.

Luca bears a striking resemblance to his 24-year-old mother and appears to have her grey-blue eyes, as well as the same shaped nose.

The Lizzie McGuire actress posted the sweet photo to her website along with the caption: 'Baby Luca, 2 weeks old :)'.

Later it Hilary posted another shot, this time a close-up and noted: 'Oh no! The flood gates have opened! Proud mamma on the loose! i can't help myself'.

Yesterday she shared an image just showing Luca's tiny feet to her followers on Twitter.

In a short and sweet update, she said: 'My favourite little feet.'

The snap comes as the actress admitted to her fans she has been finding it a struggle to get back into shape after having son Luca last month. 

The star tweeted: '20 minutes on the elliptical seems like an eternity!!! What the hell...'
