Today, reports emerged that Jennifer's ex-husband Mac Anthony asked his former wife for a reconciliation less than a week after he filed for divorce.
Marc was apparently hoping for a reconciliation but filed for divorce after JLo turned him down.
According to TMZ, instead of fighting for her marriage, Jennifer, 42, decided to pursue her feelings for much younger boyfriend, Casper Smart.
Sources close to the I Need to Know singer have revealed that he had a heart-to-heart talk with his American Idol judge wife a few weeks ago.
But she revealed that she is in love with Casper and wanted to end the marriage.
Marc apparently had no idea that her relationship with Casper had gotten so serious and was 'blindsided' by the news, the website reports.
This paved the way to his divorce filing on Monday, almost a year after the couple announced they were separating last July.
The 43-year-old Latin pop singer cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the divorce, which he filed under his real name Marco Muniz.

This will be Jennifer's third divorce, following her marriages to dancer Cris Judd and Ojani Noa, and Marc's second.
