The 31-year-old attended an event in Los Angeles in support of P&G’s Take A Load Off campaign.
The venture encourages people to switch to cold water as they do their laundry this Earth Day.
The star, who is married to Nick Lachey, certainly didn’t appear to be dressed suitably to get stuck into washing clothes.
She covered up her bump in a pretty black and white patterned flowing dress, adding a colour pop in the form of a boxy cobalt blue blazer.
Vanessa also wore black peep toe heels and a beaded monochrome necklace, and had her brunette locks perfectly coiffed into soft curls.
The former Miss Teen USA got to grips with a bottle of detergent as she pretended to do her laundry.
She then pulled a green T-shirt out of a dryer and held it up for all to see the environmental message splashed across it.
The top was emblazoned with the words: ‘See the big in the little things you do’.
Vanessa is certainly an advocate for environmentally friendly living and just three days earlier she was spotted bringing her own reusable bags to do some Easter food shopping at the grocery store.
